This design can be filled with colour according to any season. I can just imagine frosted blue roses in winter and faded roses in brown, dark brown and yellow tones at the end of summer.

This beautiful Christmas bauble is very easy to do and can be finished according to your taste. I used a tree branch with a ribbon, just ribbon for the second design and for the third one the ribbon was embroidered.
The simple stitches I used were: back, satin, fly, fishbone and French knot. As for the thread, use any one you like. I used DMC Petra cotton and I have listed all info in the video tutorial, which you can watch here: Christmas Bauble Embroidery.
