Some time ago I have purchased a gingham, yellow bag, with the intention to add hand embroidery to create a simple, yet elegant look.
I have chosen to embroider a rose flower and two leaves. The original bag I purchased from La Redoute had two stripes of sequins, which I have easily removed.
The plan was to add the embroidery, without ripping the lining, which was quite tricky overall. The bag was well made, and therefore too stiff to stitch on.
I decided to carry on nevertheless, meaning I had to hold the lining away the whole time. As you can see from the photos and video tutorial, adding the embroidery touch to the bag was successful in the end and I love how it made the bag look more elegant with just a simple embroidery detail.
The process was very easy, so I invite you to watch the video tutorial. I have also added some suggestions at the start of the video on how you could personalise your own bag. The choices are endless..
