Hello, I hope you are having a lovely end of spring! Today, I am coming to you with this simple, yet beautiful daisy bouquet. How boring would the world be without daisies?
It is such a cheerful little flower, popping out everywhere we walk, accompanying us for three seasons from early spring to late autumn.
For this embroidery, I have used just 4 thread colours and 5 stitches: lazy daisy, stem, French knot, fishbone and satin.
For those interested in thread details, you will find all info in the above video tutorial. I have used DMC Pearl Cotton in size 8. As for the petals I have used size 5. Although, I think stranded cotton would look lovely here too.
The Daisy Bouquet instant download PDF file is available in the Bonjour Embroidery Etsy shop.
I wish you a beautiful last weekend of spring and I will be back in early summer with a DIY drawstring pouch tutorial. In todays daisy tutorial you may notice that I have cut enough fabric to create a pouch, so this is exactly what I will be doing next time.
Until then 😊
