This is a simple hand embroidery design featuring a rose bouquet, with a ribbon bow. Ideal as a gift for yourself or someone else.

I quite like how the design looks like on this striped fabric, but you can of course use plain or patterned fabric.

I have designed, easy, yet beautiful Top or V Neck Embroidery (Pattern 010). All you need is a plain t-shirt or a vest top and some embroidery thread.

In the above video tutorial, I use basic stitches, such as: straight, satin, fishbone, Lazy Daisy, French knot and back stitch (or if you prefer a Whipped back stitch) for the branches.

Spring is coming to England. The days are longer and we get more hours of sun. Lots of spring flowers are blooming in various of colours: whites, yellows, purples and pinks.

Beginner's Guide to Embroidery

I wanted to create a little, visual guide for beginners. One, that I wish I had, when I took up embroidery again, first time since childhood.

There are many more options available these days, more threads, fabrics, colours.. But, it is also, easier to get lost, when in fact you don't need to spend much to start. You can barely spend anything to be honest, if you use some old fabrics and get just a handful of yarns in few colours. Sometimes you can even get free yarn, if you search for it, at your local marketplace.
